This was even better the next time round – we chose to stay at the Champa Villa this time. It was fabulous – the welcome from the Management was very real, even though we did arrive on bicycles! The cool drinks given to us were refreshing and we were then taken to our Villa – beautiful, 2 bedrooms, air-conditioning and more – just like home.

We changed into our swimming costumes and went for a swim in the pool….
Then it was time for the bicycles and we cycled a little way and returned back for dinner. The Banana Bud salad was the best (not for everyone). We chose to take a trip the next morning – it was a half day trip and i do not recall the name but you had to be up early.

The trip was ‘magnificent’ they picked us up early and took us to a long tailed boat which then took us on a tour of four islands – leave early to miss the bulk of the tourists. The long tailed boat then dropped us back on the beach which the Koyao Bay Pavilions faces – bliss…

Must stay here if you want an escape…

After spending time in busy Ao Nang it felt great to arrive in Koh Yao Noi. The hotel is nicely located some minutes (drive) from other hotels and restaurants so you can actually enjoy the nature.

We spent 3 nights in one of the Rice Field bungalows which had 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, 2 living areas and a pool shared only with one other bungalow.

James, the manager, need to be mentioned here. Always with a smile on his face, he is not only friendly but very efficient and without being intrusive always making sure all is good.

We loved our stay and only regretted it being too short. The only thing we would have changed would perhaps be choosing the beach bungalow… Maybe next time =]

It has been several weeks since we left the AMAZING Koyao Bay Pavillions and I wish we were headed back there right now!
If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway in beautiful surroundings with attentive staff and plenty to do, this is the spot for you!

James and all his staff made us feel right at home and were sure to check in often to see what else we needed. We took a private boat tour that landed us on gorgeous private islands, white sand beaches, crystal water, and plenty of fish to see snorkling.

The food at the resort was the best Thai food I have ever had and I could write an entire review on how amazing it was. We never left the resort for meals because the seafood was so fresh and there were so many different options to try!

We rented a scooter and went around the island one day, shopping in town was a lot of fun and the 7/11 is a nice A/C break 🙂

Overall I would reccommend this getaway to anyone who enjoys the beach, values a quiet and private resort, and loves good food!

This place was heaven on earth for us. Peaceful, fantastic landscapes, not crowded. Pure bliss. Beware however, that if you are looking for fiesta and/or for staying connected 24/7, you might have to consider another place (actually another island). Ko Yao Noi anbd Pavilions are places to relax, disconnect and detox from daily frantic life. We would/will go back asap.

Special big thanks go to James (the General Manager) whose main answer to most (if not all) of our questions was: “we can certainly do!”.

This resort is very special. We were told so by our agency Andaman Adventures. What a place. The resort has amazing natural surroundings. We stayed at one of the nice private beach bungalows with the beach just at our doorstep. Because the beach is private for the resort, we never felt as if anybody would intrude. Complete privacy.

The food at La Sala was also very authentic and very delicious, and there was no need to ever leave the hotel for food. The nature around the resort is so beautiful that you will see some wildlife (harmless) like flying lizards and geckos, but never in your room though. Great place for a honeymoon.

We’ve just returned home from an amazing 17 night stay at koh yao bay pavillions and wish we were still there. My son cried all the way home as he didn’t want to leave. He is actually wanting to call James (the general manger) tomorrow to say hello as he is missing him already! It was the perfect place for all of us to just simply revel in the beauty of doing nothing with the the advantage of being on the most idyllic little island that has not yet been (and hopefully not to be) ruined by mass tourism unlike so many other places in Thailand.

The food at the restaurant was delicious. Always served with a smile and any special request happily catered for. We did venture out to other restaurants on the island for lunch some days but really there was no need. We had everything we needed and more right on our doorstep.

Last, but my no means least, James has to get a mention. He is the general manager of the resort and from the moment we arrived he was there to help with any request. He was awesome with my children – so much so I think they would have prefered to stay with him than come back to Australia with us!!! And our evening meal would not have been complete without the banter/entertainment/music(?!) he supplied!! Thank you so much James, we had such a good time, it truly was a holiday to remember. Can’t wait to come back. Xxxx
